Integrating Psychedelic-Enhanced Neuroplasticity into Longevity Medicine: A Clinical Pathway for Reducing Allostatic Load and Supporting Healthy Ageing
It is a pleasure to introduce this timely and thought-provoking session: “Integrating Psychedelic-Enhanced Neuroplasticity into Longevity Medicine: A Clinical Pathway for Reducing Allostatic Load and Supporting Healthy Ageing.”
As the field of longevity medicine continues to evolve, our focus is shifting beyond simply extending lifespan toward enhancing healthspan — supporting not only how long we live, but how well we live. Central to this mission is addressing allostatic load: the cumulative physiological burden created by chronic stress, behavioural rigidity, and impaired neuroplasticity, now recognised as a meaningful and modifiable driver of biological ageing.
Emerging clinical models suggest that psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy may help unlock neuroplastic potential, enabling individuals to reassess entrenched cognitive patterns, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop more adaptive coping strategies. Yet despite this growing promise, these approaches have remained largely outside traditional longevity frameworks.
This session explores a novel, clinically governed pathway designed to bridge that gap — integrating psychedelic-enhanced neuroplasticity within a structured model of stress physiology, behavioural profiling, and longevity biomarkers.
We are honoured to be joined by two physicians at the forefront of this work.
Dr Federico Fedel is a longevity physician and Clinical Director specialising in neuroplasticity and regenerative therapies. Drawing on over a decade of experience across emergency, acute, and integrative medicine, he brings a rigorous clinical foundation to the science of healthy ageing and is actively developing pathways that merge longevity medicine with adaptive brain-based approaches.
Joining him is Dr Ash Kapoor, Medical Director of the Levitas Group and founder of Levitas Clinic. With decades of clinical experience spanning both public and private healthcare, Dr Kapoor is known for advancing personalised, root-cause medicine and for his commitment to translating emerging science into practical, patient-centred care. His current work examines how psychedelic-enhanced neuroplasticity may support stress recovery, cognitive flexibility, and long-term vitality.
Together, they will share the rationale behind their clinical model, early feasibility insights, and the potential implications for the future of longevity medicine.
