Redefining Longevity: Why Spiritual Wellbeing might be the most importante longevity strategy
Anna Bjurstam is a pioneering entrepreneur, strategic advisor, and globally respected thought leader with over 25 years of leadership in the wellness industry. Holding a Master’s degree in Finance and recognized for her expertise across business development, longevity science, and holistic wellbeing, she has consistently been at the forefront of transforming how wellness is integrated into modern lifestyles and global hospitality.
Currently serving as Strategic Advisor and Wellness Pioneer for Six Senses and Raison d’Etre, Anna has helped shape innovative wellness and longevity strategies for hotel groups, fitness brands, and medical clinics worldwide. Her influence extends across multiple roles, independent consultant, investor, serial entrepreneur, and board member, and she has contributed to guiding the direction of the industry through her long-standing involvement with the Global Wellness Summit board.
In 2000, she became co-owner of Raison d’Etre, a spa and wellness company that went on to shape more than 200 spas across 70 countries. As sole owner from 2011, she led the development of the LivNordic hotel and spa brand, further strengthening the company’s global footprint before its acquisition by Pegasus Capital Advisors and later by IHG, a testament to the strength of the platform she helped build.
Since joining Six Senses Hotels Resorts Spas in 2013, Anna has been instrumental in elevating the brand’s global wellness positioning. She has championed innovative programming while ensuring each property maintains its distinct identity, and she led the creation of Six Senses Place, an exclusive membership club designed for urban environments worldwide.
Continuing to pioneer the future of wellbeing, Anna is the founder and primary owner of V Social Club (now AgebackCo), an innovative longevity, hyperbaric, and biohacking social lifestyle club, and is also part of the founding team behind Rosebar Longevity. As a senior strategic advisor, board member, and angel investor, she focuses on advancing wellness communities, breakthrough health technologies, and next-generation longevity initiatives.
Complementing her business leadership, Anna has spent three decades immersed in diverse spiritual practices including Vipassana meditation, healing arts, shamanism, Siddha Yoga, and plant medicine. Her deep exploration of consciousness, combined with an interest in quantum physics, science, and a BioGeometry diploma, allows her to uniquely bridge ancient wisdom with modern scientific approaches to human performance and long-term vitality.
A sought-after international speaker, Anna regularly shares her insights at global conferences and educational institutions, contributing to the ongoing evolution of the wellness sector through a distinctive blend of strategic vision, scientific understanding, and spiritual intelligence.
At the Longevity Med Summit, Anna will present “Redefining Longevity: Why Spiritual Wellbeing Might Be the Most Important Longevity Strategy.” In this keynote, she challenges the prevailing longevity paradigm by posing a provocative question: what if the most powerful longevity intervention is not purely biological, but relational, emotional, and spiritual? Against the backdrop of rising chronic disease, burnout, depression, and shortened healthspan despite unprecedented medical advances, her talk invites leaders to rethink the foundations of resilience, health, and human flourishing.
