Revolutionizing Bone Health: Early Osteoporosis Detection in the Longevity Era

Francesca Rizzo

PhD, Area Manager Europe & Americas, Echolight, Italy and USA
Prevention, early diagnosis and monitoring of bone health through the REMS technology: an innovative radiation-free device for assessing the bone condition of lumbar vertebrae and femoral neck with a quick scanning. The examination generates an instantaneous report which – besides including all parameters most commonly used in the diagnosis of osteoporosis such as BMD (g/cm2), T-score, Z-score – also includes independent assessment of internal bone structure, which provides a bone strength score and body composition index.

Bone strength is a permanent problem and REMS technology enables you to assess the bone condition irrespective of the stage of life and physical condition, allowing a continuous short-term monitoring throughout life. Prevention, early diagnosis and monitoring of bone status can be done directly from your clinic.

Revolutionizing Bone Health: Early Osteoporosis Detection in the Longevity Era

This session explores a transformative approach to bone health assessment through advanced ultrasound technology. By utilizing radiofrequency echographic multi-spectrometry (REMS), this method offers a radiation-free, non-invasive means to evaluate bone mineral density and microarchitecture. Attendees will gain insights into how this technology enables early detection of osteoporosis and more accurate fracture risk assessment, supporting proactive strategies for maintaining skeletal health in aging populations.
