Using Biological Clocks in Medicine 4.0: What They Tell Us, What They Don´t, and Why It Matters
Dr. Joseph M. Raffaele, MD is a longevity medicine physician and healthcare entrepreneur who serves as Founder and CEO of Raffaele Medical in New York City. He established the practice to deliver scientifically grounded treatment programs focused on healthy aging, using validated biomarkers to assess physiological age and guide personalized interventions designed to optimize long-term health.
Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Raffaele has practiced longevity medicine for more than two decades, specializing in personalized hormone optimization and physiological age assessment. He earned a B.A. in philosophy from Princeton University and his medical degree from Drexel (formerly Hahnemann) University, followed by residency training at The New York Hospital/Cornell University Medical Center and a role as clinical assistant professor of medicine at Dartmouth Medical School.
A pioneer in age-management medicine, he co-founded PhysioAge Medical Group and later PhysioAge Systems, a global health analytics platform that enables clinicians to monitor biomarkers and evaluate treatment effectiveness. Since 2009, his research has focused on telomere biology, with multiple clinical studies examining telomerase activation and its effects on immune function, metabolism, and aging biomarkers. He frequently lectures nationally and internationally on the clinical application of telomere science and precision longevity care.
Dr. Raffaele is a member of the American College of Physicians and the Endocrine Society and a diplomate of the American Board of Anti-Aging Medicine.
In addition to leading Raffaele Medical, he is also CEO and Chief Medical Officer of PhysioAge Health Analytics, helping practices worldwide implement data-driven, individualized longevity strategies.
