Verena Buchinger

Chief Physician
Buchinger Wilhelmi Clinic
Bad Pyrmont, Germany

Dr. Verena Buchinger-Kähler is the Chief Physician of the Buchinger Therapeutic Fasting Clinic. Dr. Verena is the great-grandaughter of Dr. Otto Buchinger, German physician and founder by Buchinger, German physician and credited with being the first to document the beneficial effects of fasting on some diseases. Dr. Verena heads the Buchinger Clinic in Bad Pyrmont, Germany.

As the owner of a therapeutic fasting clinic, Dr. Verena Buchinger-Kähler knows the benefits of abstaining from food all too well. She fasts twice a year herself.

Fasting is becoming increasingly popular: it is no longer just the stars who are giving up food in a voluntary form of asceticism – fasting is now firmly integrated into the everyday lives of many people. The trend of intermittent fasting is being followed by a new wave of fasters who are not going to the beach or the mountains on their vacation, but instead on a so-called health holiday. A vacation that focuses entirely on physical and mental well-being.

The Buchinger Fasting Clinic in Bad Pyrmont is one such place of pilgrimage. Owner Dr. Verena Buchinger-Kähler works with people who are fasting every day and is the first woman to follow in the footsteps of her great-grandfather Dr. Otto Buchinger – the founder of the Buchinger fasting method.

At the upcoming Longevity Med Summit 2025, Dr. Verena Buchinger will join the Session suported by Buchinger Wilhelmi regarding Healthy Longevity and Fasting.
